Can’t see depth on B&G H5000

Hi, I have three H5000 graphic displays onboard and only one shows depth.

On the malfunctioning units, the Airmar DST 810 source is seen and, looking at the data in the H5000 setup, its reporting depth. But all the normal display pages that include depth show dashes. Tried to call B&G support but wait times are outrageous.

Tried to update the software via USB stick. Per instructions. the system was powered up with the USB stick inserted, but it apparently didn’t launch the update.

1. Does anybody else have a problem seeing depth in the H5000s?
2. Has anyone succeeded in updating the software?

first. don't update the software unless you have a valid reason. no depth is not a valid reason. I can bet you none of the software versions ever had a no depth issue.... that required an update to make depth work.

do you have 2 transducers? if not you should not have aft depth. you may have slected the same transducer for both things which may be causing some issues. I would remove it as the source for aft depth.

does other data show on these screens? what else is hooked up? wind etc?

are these hooked up to plotters as well? do they show depth?

Hi, I haven't yet updated the software. You may be on to sonething regarding aft depth. There is only one transducer and I do see that aft depth displays the same value as normal depth in the detailed data setup screen. I'll try to figure out how to deactivate the reference to aft depth per your hypothesis that it may be creating some issues. Other data includes the usual wind, navigation, temperature, etc. The H5000s are hooked up to a Vulcan 7R plotter as well as a Furuno plotter (I know... wierd setup). The Vulcan shows depth correctly from the DST 810. The Furuno plotter does not. Thanks for your help!
