Well, you probably have some weird proxy/cache somewhere in between.
If you go to
Index of /repo/fedora/20/x86_64/repodata
You should see the right file:

bef0f720f0b67250bfc9..>2015-01-24 18:38   13K

The file pointing is this one:

repomd.xml             2015-01-24 18:38  2.9K

You must have an outdated version of that file.

If you open it, you should have:

Dear J-E,

I'm trying to get your very nice Climate plug-in up and running on my Windows 7 64 bit SP1 PC. After installing the plug in Open CPN keeps reminding me to insert the data file. Although I have downloaded that and put in the Data folder. Closed and re-opened Open CPN. After I de-installed the plug in and reinstalled it, checked the log file, I don't know what is generating the problem. I also gave full access rights to the data file for end users, although I installed everything as an administrator. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Pavel, thanks for the quick reply! I had unpacked the 5 MB file using 7-zip, the data file is unpacked 42 MB as you can see on the screen shot. I now understand it is double zipped

PS including the historic data in the plugin would be a nice idea

Hi Rgleason, thanks for your tip! I got the plugin finally on the road with Pavel's tip. I'm going to use this a lot for following the Volvo Ocean Race 14-15. And will share your good work with the sailing community. So I hope more users will start using OpenCPN and the plugins!

Good idea. Thanks. Sean will be pleased to know others find this plugin useful. I believe you can join the virtual volvo ocean race too.. qtvlm is pretty good tool for that. You can learn and burn lots of night time hours trying to win, learning about gribs etc.

Finally back at computer and time has done magic.
Repo is working fine and I could install Weatherfax plug-in with yum.
Wetherfax can be activated and it is also working.

My only remaining problem is squiddio that I have installed from opencpn.org.
It can be installed many times with rpm, but not erased. It also blocks the installation from Repo with yum because of file conflicts. Manually removing the files doesn't help. It seems my rpm database is corrupt and needs deeper knowledge for fixing as
rpm --rebuilddb doesn't help.

If you've a conflict with rpm, rpm should be able to solve it.
What's the name of the installed rpm?
What's the output of

yum install opencpn-plugin-squiddio

Did you try

rpm -e squiddio_pi

Please copy the output of both commands and I'll try to help

yum install opencpn-plugin-squiddio
was complaining about file conflict in language files.
rpm -e squiddio_pi_0.3-1_amd64.rpm was reporting an error
error: package squiddio_pi_0.3-1_amd64.rpm is not installed
but the solution was
rpm -e squiddio_pi
Now also installation is working
yum install opencpn-plugin-squiddio
installs the plugin and it can be enabled.
The only thing missing is a used ID for squiddio.

I will upgrade in near future to Fedora 21.
How about enabling the repo for it?

The repo is available for all currently supported Fedora versions, both i386 and x86_64.
When a new Fedora reach alpha stage, I create a branch for it.

Squiddio is working OK, but could be improved.

Repo installation for Fedora is confusing.
yum install http://je.onfray.fr/repo/fedora/21/x86_64/jeo-release-1.2-1.fc21.noarch.rpmdoesn't work for Fedora 21. It needs to be
yum install http://je.onfray.fr/repo/fedora/20/x...c20.noarch.rpm
Then it starts working and installing is fine.

Well, it's a noarch package so should fit all Fedora versions (it's just a yum config file with the rpm signing key)
But you're right, I forgot to create the repo rpm when Fedora 21 was released. It's building right now and should be available in a couple of minutes.
