Re: Help / FAQ

Thanks.

I had already adjusted that to the max. All other objects are ok, with the exception of "underwater rocks".

It is enlarged as other objects when using the scaler, I do see the dotted line around the rock, but the font is still too small to comfortably see them. Haven't found another way to adjust the font size without changing fonts on other chart elements at the same time.

Maybe I need glasses!

Re: Help / FAQ

Dragon..
The chart object size use to follow the S57 standard.
To compare my view on a Win10 see the shot. The "Chart object scale factor" is set to "0". Any differences from your view?

Re: Help / FAQ

Hi,

Thanks for you response!

I have uploaded one with the scale set at 5.
I have used 5 so far, but as you can see the depths are very small.

With the setting at 0 both the other objects and the underwater rocks are impossible to read.

Maybe something with the chart-format?

Regards
Kai

Re: Help / FAQ

Hi,

I downloaded to a Windows PC - there it is ok.
So it is most probably a setting on my Mac.

Tried to change font formats in the systems setting, but it might be that OpenCPN is not an app that supports the changes in font size on the Mac.

Will probably use my old PC...

Thanks for your support!

Re: Help / FAQ

Dragon..
Now I don't know much about Mac. Here are other experts on that.
Notes:
You mentioned "Underwater rocks" and there are two on my shot. On your shot there are so to say another Underwater rock but with a depth text. So now I understand your font-discussion. Sorry for my misunderstanding.
The rock object symbol size is controlled by the slider "Chart object scale factor" as mentioned.
The depth/sounding text size is though controlled by the slider "ENC sounding factor".

Give it a try?

Re: Help / FAQ

Hi,

Thanks again.
I have set all the sliders (User interface/General options) to 5 in the previous screen-shot. I do not think this is an OpenCPN issue, but rather MacOS.

As mentioned the result is as expected on my Windows PC. It will be ok. Connected it to my NMEA/Seatalk wifi device and everything works as advertised!

Thanks again for your support, much appreciated!
