The exact wind direction has been replaced by an arrow.

You can revert to the tabular digital presentation by clicking on the "Dir" label in the first column.

We probably should change the default to be digital, so as to bridge smoothly from whatever version of GRIB_pi that the user had before installing 4.8.2. I'll do that.

@Rick, @JP: Need documentation update

Thanks
Dave
OK, works for me.
But the UI design is strange. There is absolutely nothing that tells the user that pressing the "Dir" changes the presentation.
One idea is to have both the numerical and a normal grib-arrow with barbs in the same box. Why introduce a new kind of wind arrow?

1. Just how many files/how big is your "raster_texture_cache" directory?
2. Is your ProgramData/OpenCPN directory on a simple hard disk, or somewhere else?

Dave
Dave..
1. 496 files
2. On the only simple hard disk.

But I cleared the texture cache and then no problem or delay opening the OpenGL options dialog. Problem solved. Many thanks.

For info:
When I rebuild the cache I saw one chart where there was a problem and the cache builder hanged. I had to force O down.
But O can handle this chart during normal operation. The log says:
Code:
6:42:48 PM: Initializing Chart C:\Users\admin\Documents\Charts\KAP_SE\hg932-02.kap
6:42:48 PM: VP Final Check: Georeference Chart_Error_Factor on chart C:\Users\admin\Documents\Charts\KAP_SE\hg932-02.kap is 0.0104607
     nominal pixel error is: 7.75091
6:42:48 PM: Trying again with internally calculated georef solution
6:42:48 PM: Result: OK, Internal georef solution used.
6:42:48 PM: Initializing Chart C:\Users\admin\Documents\Charts\KAP_SE\hg932-03.kap

1. There is a room for numerical & arrow with barbs, if possible. I like the arrows.

2. Wind speed and gust could be a little tighter to save some tabular space.

3. If a Grib Table button could be added to the main grib_pi menu, it would be a very nice addition.
