Hi,

I have tested "Dashboard Wind History" with my VDR file from Drake. It looks OK.

This is my wind history instrument. No historical data. I can't read the range, all are zero, so the issue asked for has no answer.

Is it intentional that the MOB button will not be dimmed completely in Night Mode?
Stays at the same intensity like for Dawn/Dusk.

Yes I recognised the track , or thought I did

And was it NMEA 0183 data from the PB200 or NMEA 2000.

I suspect NMEA 0183 as my PB200 refuses to output decimal HPa in N2k mode. Airmar refuse to answer my queries, sent another this morning.

Dave,

It is a bug in the dashboard NMEA data handling. I can submit a PR tonight.

Background: When a MWD message is received the parser replaces any blank data with 999 to indicate the data was missing. There are apparently a lot of messages with just true wind direction but the speed fields are blank. So when the 999 wind speed is sent to the wind instrument it tries to display but it probably should just ignore values of 999. Or dashboard_pi should not send these.

Hi,

We used NMEA_0183, and we accepted all data from PB200 except GPS one.

This is intentional. Is it too bright for true night mode?

I'm not that sensible about this question (and with the Windows window frame not completely dimmed..) - so Baikal or other people who often are running over night should opinion here.

There are official wx3.0.0 trusty packages in the ubuntu repos. However these suffer from a nasty mousewheel bug, since fixed. So, because of this and other fixes, you may well want to use these wx3.0.2 packages instead. They don't seem to conflict too much with the official wx3.0.0

Re: OpenCPN RC 4.1.1301 Release

Dave,

I took out the tablet "Teclast Tpad X10HD 3G" I bought last spring. Its GPS does not work (among other problems) and I tend to forget to test O above.

I remind you that it's a 10-inch tablet in w10, with a recommended screen resolution 2560x1600.

I just still O411301 installed on this tablet.

Several problems:
1. The icon bar is very very small. So small that it is almost impossible to click on an icon with my fingers. I must imperatively enable the scaling factor in the options and choose the value 5 for the thumb of the user interface.

2. For the texts, they are really very small. I opened the options and change the font size boxes. Surprise, the initial value was "4". I switched to 10 for readable text. (After this adjustment, the font size with O 40, in the boxes, is enormous.)

1 and 2: I think that a beginner with OpenCPN, using this kind of touch pad, will not want to keep OpenCPN because he will not know which particular setting it will have to do.

3. With OpenGL OFF and the touch activated screen interface, and scale factor activated on the bar charts, rectangles related to nautical charts are normal color as I did not click on one of the rectangles. After that, the rectangles become black or grey. And I have to stop O, and restart O, for it returns to normal.
This defect does not exist with OpenGL ON or OFF with the touch screen interface.

4 I try dashboard and Grib plugins. You can see that the texts are very little. the dasboard window is very little. So it is necessary that I change also here character size.

I tested the level of light at night. I like the level of intensity MOB button.
