I would very much like to have a get together. In fact Irie Cat and Oceanview are planning to cruise the Bahamas, we are leaving in December to make the crossing. If any other Mahe owners want to join us, you are all welcome.
I also bought my Mahe from Willmar. I have had my issues as well, but nothing like Al's.
I do have a question, since Willmar is out of business, who do we use for service issues? My trampoline ripped and I need to replace it, does anyone have a suggestion who I need to call or where I can get a replacement?
Thanks
Scott

Scott I would love to get with you guys but if everything goes according to my plans....god knows it has not happened to often lately we will be heading for the Bahamas in April and stay untill late May. Not as many cold fronts and I like the water to be warm. You know this is going to be an Elnino year and I have a feeling it will be a wet winter with the jet stream beeing very low so I would rather go later.
About your tranpoling I thinks you can find that anywhere made to your boat size, mine is still in pretty good shape.
Well we are heading for the boat today, looks like it is going to be a windy week end at last.

Trampoline replacement

We got netting for new tramps last year from Sunrise Yacht Products in Pinellas Park, FL and have been happy with it. We like the knotless netting and holes large enough to allow waves to pass through, which reduces the possibility of rips.

Hi Mark
Maybe you could send me your email address so we could talk without everyone else having to listen to us. Was the boat ordered or did he have one. how did you get it del. I love the boat it sailed well across the atlantic, just hate the dealer. Did you by options from him. Where in Conn. do you live, would like to meet and talk. My email is longislandsail@aol.com

Thanks all for the response. I'll call Sunrise since they are only 1 1/2 hours drive away. I also email Thierry but have not gotten a response yet.

Hi Scott,

Our tramp seems to fine at the moment but it might be worth getting your guy that is making your new one to keep the pattern because there may be a market going forward.

I think the sun in Florida and the Carib must do more damage than the sun in Sydney

Mahe Hull number register

I would be interested in keeping a record of who owns which hull number.

If we start it here I can then consolidate the info in a post that we can cut and paste.

I have hull #27.
I'll be taking the Tramp off Friday to see if it is repairable. FP is getting me a quote for a replacement, but I have also called Sunrise and this will be the first Mahe one for them. Now hold onto your seat, a replacement tramp from Sunrise starts at $1300 and goes up to $2300 depending on the material you choose. So I hope it can be repaired.
What a pain it will be to remove and replace the thing.
I'll keep you all posted.

Scott,

Wow, that is some price.

What material are you thinking of if you didn't get a factory one?

Might be interesting to price it here !
