New Pico Software

A new Pico software version 2.0.0 is available.

It is not working for me ( iPad 12.1.3).

Has anyone else tried it?

Re: New Pico Software

Problems here too.

Since the upgrade, I can no longer connect to the Pico when the Pico is on the boat's wifi network. However, if I set the Pico as an access point, then I can connect.

Re: New Pico Software

problems here as well

Barometer screen on the pico is replaced by some sort of diagnoses screen and shows network data
teh app no longer shows individual things like fridge , freezer , solar panels etc (main reason why I have the pico)
functionality seems to be gone now !

Re: New Pico Software

They have released another update. This one is working fine, but at this stage I think I still prefer the old version.

I have downloaded the update on an old iPad so my primary device still has the older version.

This is an example of some of the corrections that need to be made. In the new version I cannot see all my shunts. So I know what the centre and port solar panel are outputting, but not the starboard solar panel output.

I love the detailed and and complex battery informtion the Pico delivers, but I would avoid making software updates until the next instalment is released.

Re: New Pico Software

I think (among other things) they screwed up the rendering of the shunts on the screen. If there's more than two, the third one (and presumably others) are off the right hand edge of the screen. The third one can be seen partially by rotating to landscape view.

Clearly they did next to nothing to test this release!

As a separate issue, as reported above, I still can't get the app to connect to my Pico when the Pico is a client on my boat's wifi network (STA mode).

Thanks for the link.

The advice seems very sensible.

Re: New Pico Software

I have updated my firmware to 2.115. At the moment I would not recommend this upgrade as the remaining time is incorrect. However the rest is working well.

I also upgraded the software 2.0.3. I did this because I created a work around removing the problem of displaying more than two shunts. See the screenshot.

This is achieved by creating a new battery assigning the shunt you want displayed to the new battery, anchoring this to the home page, and then reassigning the shunt to the old battery.
