Hitchhiker in Indonesia

Hey everybody.

Some infos about me:
I'm 22 years old guy, I come from switzerland. I do fishing, swimming, singing, travelling and rowing. I speak suissgerman, german, french and english and I have very basic experience about sailing on a little boat on a little lake in switzerland. treat me like a newbie...

My worldvoyage NOW:
Mostly by hitchhiking or train I did Scandinavia, Russia, China and SEA and I'm now in Indonesia Medan. Images and Reports on cymytrip - cymytrip.ch.vu Akte Mekong by boat - Blog von cymytrip2.over-blog.de
I did never use a plane in the lats 10 month. I want to go on like this. To search a Cargovessel (A try to translate some infos into english: Singapur (Hafen) - Blog von cymytrip3.over-blog.de) was a big Fail, but I keep on trying.

My plans in the next weeks:
I go by hitchhiking around Sumatra, Java and Bali. On the way I search for sailing experience. I'm not a despret searcher and I don't want beach and sail holiday for free. If there is a boat, it would be perfect if they can teach me to sail. I want to learn as much as possible because: If I find a sailor/ship/possibility to go to Australia or over the pacific to america, I want to be usefull and able : such a jorney can be dangerous.

What I search for in this forum:
- Information about sailor around Indonesia; seaking for crew.
- Information about the main routes of crazy EAST Sailors from asia or australia to american continent.
- Information about popular meeting points and ports of sailor around Indonesia especially Sumatra and Java.

Welcome - nice to meet you. I am envious - your's is the journey I wish I had taken twenty fifteen years ago, and if I had a boat in your part of the world I would teach you to sail tomorrow!

Re: Hitchhiker in Indonesia

While you are in Bali, make your way to Bali Marina in Benoa Harbor. Most of the cruising boats that pass through Indonesia spend some time in Bali Marina. Posting a notice there would be a good idea. Also, Bali Deli in Seminyak has a notice board. Many cruisers will find their way there to stock up on treats they have been missing from home.

Good luck,
Danika
