With his budget I would suggest a Prout 37.. they have circumnavigated, are a stable platform and are strongly built. |

Your first 900nm from Panama to the Galapagos will be the most challenging, it's an area of calms and very light winds so you either need to carry enough fuel or have a boat that sails well in light... |

If your going solo I see no point in a 40ftr from a practical viewpoint bar ego value.. look, I got a big boat.. :biggrin: Personally I would opt for the 331 if Beneteau is your bag..... |
