Re: Evinrude 115 S On My Sailing Catamaran

Do you mind saying what kind of catamaran you have that handles the engine combination in your picture. Also I would like to know what speed you can motor at under power alone.
Thanks

Re: Evinrude 115 S On My Sailing Catamaran

It is a Kit Cat. The company only built 11 boats. 9 were powercats, 1 was a daysailor and this one. So yes, it is very unique. She had Honda 50's on it when I bought her and max speed then was about 8.5kts, just not enough power to push her up on the plane. I repowered to those Evinrude 115's. I can put up to 275's on it. Our fastest has been 21kts. Yes, it can pull up a skier and we can sail too. I've had a few cyber sailors tell me that what I've done isn't possible, so here is a quick clip of 0 -20kts, and this boat can run like this all day long.
