Yes it is still happening...it automatically diverts to this url:

http://www.cruisersforum.com/profile.php?do=dst

which gives a 404 error. The homepage portal opens for a second or so before being diverted to that address with the 404 error.
It happens with both my windows machines and my macs....so it's on the server end somewhere.....

Clearing Cookies will Fix It

For Internet Exploder users: menu bar Tools -> Internet Options. On the General tab, middle of the panel, "Delete Cookies."

For Mozilla Firefox users: menu Tools -> Clear Private Data. Then UNcheck everything except "Cookies." Then click the "Clear Private Data Now" button.

For all - you must then close your browser (easiest way) and then login to the forum again.

Of course - you wouldn't be able to read these instructions had you not done this already....

I love computers....

When you have this happen again please post a step by step process on what you did to get it to happen.

I am not able to reproduce this right now and I have been clicking around for 20 minutes lol. My mouse can't take much more.

This post captures exactly what I saw when it was happening to me. It hasn't happened in 36 hours now, and appeared to have been corrected.

OK...I deleted the cookie associated with this forum...then restarted IE7...and opened the homepage portal...it opened no problem at all....but then I logged in and it sent me to that 404error page...I did click the box to keep me logged in.....hope that narrows it down

For what it's worth, I've never seen this. I use a bookmark that takes me straight to www.cruisersforum.com/forums/ using a previous cookie to bypass authentication. This is with Firefox mostly on Linux, sometimes winxp.

I don't know if that helps in tracking down the issue, but figured I'd post my experiences...

Well folks it still happens to everybody.
The way I do, without reloading the page again and again, is just stopping the load (STOP KEY, in Firefox the one just at the left of the "house" button) as soon as the page is loading. Then I click onto the "New Posts" field to jump to the link, and everything works fine.

p.s. forgive my english
