Blown windless gear

I have a lewmar concept 2 or 3...
On the first anchor at shroud cay in the exumas in early January, my gearbox stripped...
Ok so no problem and we have kept on by doing manually every time ...it's really kind of easy with my wife at the helm and me on the chain ... hey it's a form of exercise.
However I pulled the unit apart and yes a big gear has stripped, probably the result of the bearings go bad...
I need a new gear and bearings I guess
Has anyone had this problem and what are my solutions???.....or do I have to buy the a brand new unit $$$
