help with posting a new message

Hello, Being new to this site I am unable to see how/where to post a new thread. When I go to the subject under which we have a question to propose there is no "new thread" button to allow a new message. Only able to see one here on the help page. Any thoughts to guide me through this?

If you click on "Forums" top left of page you'll find a choice of different categories to post in.

Pick the one that seems to fit your subject and when you get there you'll find the button to start a new thread. Same location on that page as "post reply" is on this page.

It is weird and it's frustrated lots of new members including me.
