How do we insert images in BODY of message

Rather than the clickable thumbnails we get when we "Attach" a photo?

I thought I recalled it was formerly possible simply to copy and paste images and graphics into the body text, but I can't get that to work these days.

Click the "insert image" icon, then paste into the dialog window the location on the web of your photo. I haven't been able to find a way to insert one from my own disk, only one already up on the web. Mine come from Picasa web albums.

photobucket also works...they have choices... i practice in preview post until i figger it out... have fun...

If you don't have a photo hosting site account, you can upload photos from your computer to the CF photo gallery, copy it's URL by right-clicking on the uploaded photo, and paste it into the "insert photo" box.

Nigel1 walked me through that in detail via PM, I just tried it, here:

and it worked really well. I like being able to distribute the photos thru the text, in situations where they are context specific.

And if (as I did in a moment of slack-jawed dullness) you post in the wrong thread, it's trivially easy to uplift the text, which includes the photo links, and past them into a new reply in the correct thread, then go back and delete the wrong one.

Some may not realise that photos do not have to go into the public gallery; you can have your own private collection, visible to the mods but not the hoi polloi, if that spins your wheels, or if you have a cyber-stalker !
