How to Find Own Posts ?

I had the occasion today to have to edit a reply, which eventually I found.

Is there an easy way to find ones own posts? I tried searching by my user name, and looked under the "User CP", and neither one were of assistance.

Good question and we should probably find an easier way for members to accomplish this. The way to do it right now is to use the Quick Links drop down (top right) and then go to My Profile. On the profile click on Statistics and there you can see links to find all threads you have started and all posts you have made.

Yes, it's easy. Click on your User Name in the top box, right end. In the page that opens, scroll down to the tabs and click on Statistics. You will then see two options: Find all posts by (User Name) and Find all threads started by (User Name). Click on the one that serves your purposes.

Unfortunately the "my posts" archive only goes back a few hundred posts, not to the very beginning.

I think anyone with over 500 posts will have the same result, Gord.

This is true and set this way to keep server load down (and site speed up). One way to find older posts use the advanced search tool and search for posts by a specific member within a set of date parameters.

Doesn't work for really (my) old posts (ca 2003/04).
