How to find previous threads

can someone tell me how to find a thread that was started a few days back?..thank you ,DVC

If you remember any details like:

title or subject of the thread
any word used in the title or subject of the thread
name of anyone that posted in the thread
any key words that are kind of unique that were used in the thread

Example, searching for a post using the word "sail" will get thousands of results. Search using the word "westerbeke" might get dozens of results but they are sorted by date so look at the most recent ones.

With any of that then use one of the several search functions and should pop up.

If you can't find it via the forum search facility, then you can use the advanced search in Google instead.

This is a search using Google to search Cruisers forum for just "Solar", change this word for what you want to search for.

The other option if you or you know someone who posted in that thread is to look at their profile for the posts they have made which will be in date order.

If you posted in the thread and have the subscribe function on you an check in your users control panel for "all subscribed threads" and it will show up there.

In advanced search you can specify the forum and or child forums to look in, if you know the original thread was in maintenance for instance. If it was started by someone in particular or you remember someone who posted in it you can search for posts just by that member.

You can specify a time frame too in advanced search... last week for instance...
