How to View the Second Page ?

I can only see the first page in a long thread. I can click the "page 2" button but nothing happens. I've tried deleting all the cookies but that makes no difference.

Sestina,
What browser and operating system are you using?
I tried duplicating the problem on some older and unusual systems, but couldn't reproduce your problem. Knowing what system you're on might help.

Are you still having trouble with this? Has it happened on more than one thread? If so, can you post a link to a thread where it happens?

Hi Janet

All that happens when I click on "view page 2, 3 etc" is a flicker of page 2 in the little box then it immedately reverts to page 1 and I can only see the early posts.

Link to a thread where this happens:

I experienced a version of this problem this morning. This was the scenario:

I was going through New Posts and at the bottom of the first page, I clicked on Page 2. I received the error message attached below. Went back, tried again, got the same result. I took the screen shot, clicked on New Posts to get a fresh reload of the first page, then clicked on Page 2 at the top of the list.

It took me to the second page of the New Posts without a problem.

Doesn't make any difference if I click at the start or the end of the page. Bugger all happens!

Love the new layout!

It would really be nice if the multiple page threads showed the pages so that we can go to the last page or other than the first page. Chuck

I don't follow what you're suggesting, Chuck. You do have the ability to go to pages other than the first page, so I must be misunderstanding your message. Can you provide a little more information?

For instance, when I come to the site it gives me a list of the current postings, I guess the Portal, not the Discussion Board page. Of the current postings, several are more than one page but does not show that. On other discussion boards like this, under the heading for the post it will show up as Page 1,2,3,4, and I can click on 4 and get to the last page or click on 3 if that was the last page I viewed and it will take me to 3. Hope this explains it. Chuck

Chuck,

Click on the "New Posts" button on the bar under the "Welcome" message. That view will give you the multi-page option. It shows the same posts in the same order as the "Portal" view with the exception that threads you've already read aren't shown.

I would like to be able to also see the pages I have already read which makes the Portal page more desirable for me. For some reason I made a post just before this one and it disappeared. My question was, can the Portal page also be set up to show the multi pages? Thanks,

In addition to what Hud has written, you can click on the little box immediately in front of a thread title and you will be taken to your first unread post in a thread, regardless of what page it's on. And, when you've opened a thread, there is a box at the upper right of the first post on the page that indicates what page you're on, and the number of pages in the thread. (See attached screen shot.) You can click on the number of the page you'd like to open there.

try a different method....

There is a link to "todays posts" under the quicklinks drop down menu on the upper nav bar. That will return a more complete list
