Image Issue

All my attached images have gone to a "rotate image" link. When I click it it just refreshes the page. How can I just paste a pic instead of attaching?

Re: Image issue

Yeah, I've got the same issue.

Looks like your pic rotated itself in your absence.

Re: Image issue

ALL your images (old and new) now appear to you with that message regardless of whether or not they have been loaded the right way up.

The new feature is just an option. It is not telling you to rotate the image, it is just giving you the possibility of doing so easily.

This nifty new tool has been added to help post images from smart phones where they often annoyingly appear upside down or off by 90 degrees.

Re: Image issue

Ah. I see! Yeah when I said I had a problem there was no pic in my post(just the rotate image words) but now there is.

Thanks and a very good feature!

Re: Image issue

OK and thanks.

But we guys are an impatient bunch, ya know.

I would never have waited long enough to see the pic.

But I guess a few guys did figure it out.

Re: Image issue

I am totally lost here!

My post from 20 hours ago still only shows the rotate image message and does not show the actual image - here is that message as of 12:19 PM PST:
Re: How Many Of The Older Sailors Look like This?
Here is what a 66-year old really looks like when they spend all their time outside trying to shape in shape and enjoying the fresh air.

Caution - Physical Fitness can be dangerous to your health!

HELP - the image (800 x 760 335KB) appears perfect in the preview but will not display here - I have posted hundreds of images but can't make this one appear. I know it is UGLY - but it is the truth.

I edit the post - look at the Preview and it is still the image I want to post.

Here is a link to the image I want to post:

Re: Image issue

Here is a test of the "option" - I've uploaded the same image as I could not get to post on the other thread. Does it appear here at 12:21 PM PST?

The Preview looks perfect.

Re: Image Issue

"Looks mighty fine to me."

Does that mean you can see my ugly face? What Browser?

When I used Internet Explorer 9.0.8112.16421 I see the image as I would expect it to be.

In Chrome 32.0.1700.107 All I see is the underlined message "Rotate Image" in a box labeled Attached Thumbnails

Re: Image Issue

I have had the same problem. In a thread with a lot of images attached (like my rebuild thread) SOME (not all) of the images will not appear. In their place will be the words "rotate image".

I have noticed that ANY image that is not "downloaded" to CF but rather is directed here via a web address from another site (like Photobucket or Picassa) always shows up fine.

I just "discovered" another clue to the mystery. If I log out of the forum and view as a "lurker", then everything shows up fine.

I hope that this "upgrade" to the system can be reversed until this "bug" is sorted out.

Hi TS
I can see all the photos you have posted normally. From the comments, I think others are too.

I am using an iPad, update iOS 7.0.4, Safari browser (not the app). I have attached a screen shot of what I can see.

I have had a similar glitch when posting photos, but refreshing the page fixes it. When you refresh the page can you still not see your photos?

I will report the issue to Tech Admin. Sorry for all the hassles.

Re: Image Issue

Refresh does not resolve the Chrome problem. I can find no way in Chrome to make the image appear EXCEPT in the Advanced Preview function where the image appears just as your post shows.

I have no problems in IE.

Thanks for taking the time to help with this!
