Yes, I changed it from 20 to 40 and now I have problems.

What does this mean? Should I change it back?

Re: Lots of server errors... what's going on?

its a server side issue. Just tried again at 9:59 am 8-23 PT

- trace your server logs for errors from SaltyMonkey and URL cruisersforum.com/forums/why-cal-63946-2.html
- try to recreate via signed in w/ URL

Is it timing out?

Re: Lots of Server Errors... What's Going On?

I'm running Chrome primarily with FireFox as an alternative on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS and have not experienced any problems for months.

Although I agree with SaltyMonkey that it seems to be a server side issue, does the Linux render differently than Windows? That doesn't make sense at all. PHP is PHP. Perhaps there are Javascripts which impact the rendering depending which operating system is being used?

Re: Lots of Server Errors ... What's Going On ?

FWIW,

Sorry to be so slow in trying this, but we've not had a good internet connection for a few days.

As per the suggestion, I changed from 40 to default post/page, and LO, the errors seem to have gone away. Yippee!

But, ten posts/page is indeed a PITA, so I will try going back to 20, and then 40 and see what happens... when I have the spare time.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Cheers,

Jim

The person responsible for working on this is on vacation this week. It was already supposed to be fixed, but vB can have a mind of its own.

G'Day Frank,

Thanks for that. I hope that the "fixer" returns from his holiday refreshed and ready to get stuck into things vB. Please let us know when it is good to go wo we can switch back to our normal settings.

Cheers,'
Jim
