Missing Survey

I posted a survey on the frequency of USCG boardings and it seemed to be getting some good responses.

This morning it is gone and when I click on the link in one of the emails telling me someone has responded, I get this message:

"Sunspot Baby, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
  1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
  2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation. "
Apparently my survey violates some restriction of the forum. I would appreciate knowing what I did wrong.

Any administrator please reply.

George

I have had similar problems with threads that I knew that I had responded to disappearing.

By knowing the frequency and location of coast guard boardings, Osama B. Laden will be able to figure out how to sneak his sailboat into the country.

Come on admins, give me a little info here. What did I do wrong?

Oh another thing; I graduated from the same high school as VP Cheney, only a year behind so maybe that is why my thread was pulled. That I could understand :-)

Firstly, when something like this happens, could you post and then be just a little patient. Remember many of us are on the other side of the world. It is 7:30AM for me right now. I have been on line since 7:00 AM trying to catch up on Mod/Admin stuff.
I placed the post in our holding area till I can get information from higher up on how to merge it to the already open and active threads. The poll opens up three already active threads on the subject, which is two too many now. I don't want a third running. So please be patient.

Oh Gawd, it is worse than we thought!!!! Homeland Security has gotten to Wheels...

I knew it was a conspriacy, now it looks like a world wide conspiracy!!!!!

Seriously though, Thanks Alan, we appreciate everything you guys do. I was just bored and poking some fun.
(And if you hear a strange click when you make a phone call down under, dont' worry it won't be VP Cheney or Homeland Security listening in... will it?)

And I wouldn't be paranoid if everyone wasn't out to get me.

Perhaps I should also add, if anyone needs a faster reply on something, contact a mod more directly and we could reply with, "yeup we are working on it" or, "No idea what hapened". Or you could call me on 0643%&*$#$ anytime......not!! :-)

Alan: Thanks for your reply. I guess I am so used to rapid response that I had unrealistic expectations.

I did send a private post to Elusive since he is on this side or the world and was on-line.

One reason I posted the survey was all the other "noise" about USCG boardings. The others are all anecdotal and I wished to gather a little data to see how pervasive boardings really are. Some of the posts almost sound like the USCG is up your skirt from the time you toss the lines until you are across the pond.

Early results on the survey indicated that most folks can cruise a long time between face to face meetings with the Coasties.

I think it is a worthwhile thread and should stand alone. It is aimed at gathering empirical data and not bone picking or sea stories (not that those aren't great).

Wheels does dress and look a bit like Tom Clancy doesn't he?

Perhaps there really is a vast conspiracy here?

Conspiracy needs three or more individuals.
It only takes one asx to make a problem.
