Please tell me your secret, JusDreaming. I've tried resetting my preferences numerous times to get the email notifications to stop, so far unsuccessfully.

Please let everyone know when you figure out how to stop this mailbox stuffing.

I am considering setting up a new email address specifically for this forum and having it all sent there. I should not have to do that though.

When you reply to posts, down below in the 'Additional Options', there is a box that says 'Thread subscriptions' and Notification Type. Choose from there what you want.

How to turn off notifications permanently for yourself.

This is a two part process.

Code:
Part A. Disable notifications when you post by default

1. Click on "User CP" in the menu bar near the top of the page.
2. Click on "Edit Options" along the left side.
3. Find the section 'Default Thread Subscription Mode'.
4. Set the dropdown to "Do Not Subscribe".
5. Click "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page.
Code:
Part B. Disable notifications for existing posts

1. Click on "User CP" in the menu bar near the top of the page.
2. Click on "List Subscriptions" along the left side.
3. Scroll down to the list of threads.
4. Click the checkbox to the right of "Notification".
5. In the 'Selected Threads' dropdown, select "Delete Subscription".
6. Click "Go".
7. Repeat from step 4 if the first pass didn't select them all.
Now you'll never ever be bothered by the messages again!

Hope it helps,
-Scott

Re: notification

I'm not getting notifications and have mine set (I think) to email notifications. I thought my post was being ignored but found 3 pages of responses!
