Problem with Kindle fire Hd

Why does the keyboard close out when I try and do a search with my Kindle fire HD? As soon as I try to type the keyboard closes. I am doing something wrong?

No, the OS for the Kindle blows. Mine does the same thing on some websites.

Some sites have so many bells and whistles it's just taking too long for your software to process it all. Just have to wait for it to get done before trying to type.
