Re: Alex Thompson jumps off 98-foot mast

Holy cr@p!!!!

The broach on the first attempt was scary as hell. And he keeps tripping over the running backs as he goes.

Boat was over at 60 degrees, so the rudders can barely hold on. Virtually no steering ability, so when a gust comes, you round up and the boat stands up. Yikes.

I can't believe the goofy did this on purpose. I do admit, it was amazing to watch.

My question-where was his Go Pro camera. I want to see it from his POV. No trying it for me!

I'd do it with a GoPro on my head.

Oh, do it with style. Have a martini in one hand. Then you can get sponsors to provide for you!

Re: Alex Thompson jumps off 98-foot mast

James Bond is tough but I bet he'd cry like a baby if you made him go up a mast-let alone jump off. I love going up the mast ... but I'll stick with the chair. No jumping for me!! You can't give me enough martinis to do that! 😳
