There is parking at the Naval Academy's stadium (511 Taylor Avenue, Annapolis MD 21401 – Gate 5) with a free shuttle to and from the show. The stadium has lots & lots of space for parking. It's $10 for cars - - dunno if your rig will require a surcharge.
thanks awesome info. i ll do that.

You could also park on any of the out residential streets and just walk in. Aim for a half mile to a mile walk or so and you should be fine. I've seen more than enough space for a rig like yours parallel parked on residential streets.

Parking at the Stadium is your best bet. Easy to get into and plenty of room. HOWEVER, on Saturday there is a game at the stadium and parking will not be available. Use exit 22 off highway 50 and follow all the signs. There will be shuttles from both there and the stadium. I wish the Boat Show web site would spell this out in order to avoid confusion.

Do not try to bring your rig into downtown Annapolis!

Drop by the Seawind booth and check out the new Seawind 1260 catamaran. I'll be there working on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Stop and say Hi!

Re: Annapolis Sailboat show ?

For those that can only spend Saturday & Sunday there, is that enough time to see most things? First time for me and on a budget so any good tent camping sites recommended within reasonable driving distance to the show?

You can cover a lot in 2 days. I usually do 1 day but I’m not boat shopping

Re: Annapolis Sailboat show ?

I am looking for a boat but there is no way I can afford a new one in any way! Just looking for road trip for the weekend and seeing what's out there and see how the dealers treat potential customers. I'm a good 15 hour drive and want to enjoy my time and not be rushed.

Re: Annapolis Sailboat show ?

I'll be interested in reading everyone's impressions. To my eyes, there are exactly two "pretty" sailboats in the water... and then the rest. One of those two is modern, the other is over near the Sailing Hall of Fame...

I'm not skilled enough in sailing to know if the sail plan on the modern boat would be efficient or not... I didn't tour inside (last I was there was before the show opened), so no clue how that would work for utility... but it was certainly beautiful on the outside.

And then there were the rest, mostly just white boats... likely with varying degrees of form and utility... but not eye-catching enough for me to pay any attention to...

Re: Annapolis Sailboat show ?

I was there today, though spent most of my time with the small multihulls, which all look great to me!

Vs the last two years, it seems there were even bigger (and more) catamarans than I have seen there in the past. The charter tents looked pretty empty, but Friday morning isn't the busiest time either.

Re: Annapolis Sailboat show ?

Yep, lots of cats, but only two of the multihulls got my specific attention. The first was the big one in Ego Alley that was about 5½ hours late arriving... and that, of course, significantly held up construction of the inner pens. Late night, had by all.

The 2nd is out near the Take The Wheel docks, a big Lagoon with a flying bridge approx as high as ours. The rest of the boat only looked OK (to me), but the flybridge looked great.

Unfortunately, at this time of year, the only things to see from way up there are the sea nettles down below!

Re: Annapolis Sailboat show ?

Any recommended anchorages near boat show as we are sailing up to Annapolis. Any restrictions the nearby creeks? It is our first time to go to the boat show by boat, so any tips going there?

Spa Creek and Back Creek fill up pretty quickly, I think. Arrive early.

It is too late for early. Cruisers who work the shows have been here for a month at least. Plenty of room in South Anchorage but the creeks are filling up quickly.

We anchored in front of the football and soccer practice fields in front of the academy for about six weeks. The end closest to the moorings is most sheltered and a short dinghy ride in. See you there.
