Cost of Diesel

Many places in the Caribbean you can buy "duty free" fuel after you have cleared out. In the BVI last May (08) we paid $2.55 with our outbound clearance and the regular price $4.25. Not all fuel docks have duty free so you need to ask first.

Please share where in the BVI you were able to purchase diesel for $2.55 at a fuel dock last May.

Thanks for the added details. Nice blog. I had never heard of duty free fuel in this area but then again I did only burn 12 gallons of diesel all of last year.

According to Yahoo Answers:
"As of October 2007, gasoline in Venezuela costs about 7 cents a gallon"

We spoke to friends last weekend who are in a marina on the mainland Venezuela..... they stated that, "gasoline (dingy fuel) was 16 cents per gallon at the marina"

Sorry about that the 7 cents per gallon price above was for desiel NOT gasoline!
