Cruiser Rendevous in New Bern

The Cruisers Rendevous is being held here, now, in New Bern, North Carolina. It is a really well done afair that unites many cruisers headed down south for the winter.

I just got back from a presentation put on by Lynn & George entitled "From Dream to Reality, Real World Advice For Begining Cruisers". It was an outstanding presentation. It is even better when we realize that George is our own Sunspot Baby!

Thanks George!

Thanks for the nice words. We had a lot of fun preparing and presenting it and the response from other cruisers was very gratifying.

Remember that our own Entlie was half of the presentation. Her information on provisioning was probably the highlight of the program.

Way to go George. Wish I could have been there. Sure liked New Bern during my couple hour visit this last summer. Got a great T-Shirt at the Salvation Army Thrift Store!!

The Southbound Cruisers' Rendezvous isn't over - today and tomorrow are open for cruisers to enjoy New Bern and the events of Ghostwalk weekend. George and I thoroughly enjoyed all the seminars and workshops, and of course the potlucks, happy hours, and Eileen Quinn's music. We were happy to be a small part of it.

We saw many folks we have met over past cruising seasons, and there was much camaraderie.

Thanks to Dick and Judy Giddings (of Cruiseheimers Net and Doo Dah Net) for organizing this great event, and to everyone who helped pull it off.

If you'd like to check out the web site, here's the link. I would imagine over the next few days more photos will be posted.
