In spite of my best efforts I have been unable to come to any conclusions regarding the sailor in question. She is not currently stranded, but still on the vessel and she may need to vacate on the 5th. I spoke with Karen on the phone and exchanged numerous emails and PMs with other posters who are partially familiar with Karen's situation.

I am now out of good deeds for the year.

Just a caveat here.. this thread was allowed to stand as a courtesy to another sailing forum. In general we don't allow solicitation (even for a good cause) here at Cruisers, but the sailing community is small and it seemed hard-hearted to close or remove the thread. So....
