Drones for ocean work

Anyone run across one of these yet? Pretty cool even if no one can ride along.

Hmmm ...

If I hadn't come across the item referred to in the OP, I would have scored the Open ROV project as a little bit cool, but it seems like a minnow against the awesomeness of a self powered, autonomous, destination-oriented, transoceanic range, travelling data-gathering item, at least from where I am.

Read an interesting article about sea gliders couple of months back. was very fascinated by this new technology. this could be a game changer...
