The fact that the two sailors (or more correctly, drifters) have stopped giving interviews and have seemingly gone underground leaves Cherod as the only voice on their behalf. We could all use friends like that.

I don't really agree with Cherod's threats of litigation, but I'd bet he/she's in a pretty frustrating place and without more information from the drifters, a pretty lonely place as well.

Well , in a thread where make up and make believe are prominent even this surprises me a little , where did you dream up that I threatened litigation ? Thank you for your concern but I am neither lonely nor frustrated in fact just on a nite shift with almost nothing to do which permits me hours of wasted time " conversing " with the fantasists .

Thank you but I suspect that you are far too old and past it to do anything special for me , thank you anyway .

I wonder if "his" age has anything to do with his ability to satisfy. You can read between the lines on that one.

Seems to be getting heated here. Diversion to another forum if anyone has some time and want's to read motorcycle racers take on the matter.
Fair warning that the motorcycle forum is less 'regulated'.

Re: HI->Tahiti Dingbats found after 5 months

They created another big discrepancy in their story on the Today show this morning. Jennifer Appel holds up a handheld GPS (and tries to be a spokesperson for Garmin at the same time) and explains that the GPS "proves" that they were nowhere near Tahiti and therefore they are not the same Sea Nymph that contacted or was contacted by the Coast Guard. The Coast Guard says that contact was made with a yacht named Sea Nymph and the captain of the yacht said they would be to Tahiti within 24 hours. But previously Appel said that all of their navigation equipment was broken??? So how can it be that the GPS worked when they needed to concoct some kind of answer to Matt Lauer's "who did the Coast Guard talk to question", but supposedly the GPS didn't work after the storm (or at some point in the adventure). So if the GPS told them they were not near Tahiti, what was their last position before the GPS stopped working?

Maybe some sleuth can someone contact Tahitian authorities and find out if a Sea Nymph cleared in within 24-48 hours after the Coast Guard call? Tahiti is very strict about entering the country by yacht so if a yacht entered, they know about it.

I think you mean "libel". Slander is a spoken statement, damaging to someone's reputation. "Libel" is the same thing, only in published form.

Not to *libel* you, but your legal advice would be better kept to yourself, if you wish to avoid self deprecation.
