How Is BP's Little Gift Affecting Your Cruising Plans ?

I'm planning on becoming a snowbird in the fall and heading South, just Florida for now, but who knows where I may end up. If this thing hits the East, though, the entire state of Florida is the last place you'll want to cruise.

I'm hearing really mixed and inconsistent news. Everything from there's "a chance" it will hit the East coast to, it's making the East coast within a month or two, and once it hits the Gulf Stream it will be in NC be Sept. Who knows what's true, what's really likely, what's just media fear mongering, and what's just the genius population buying into it all and repeating what they hear with no fact to back it up?

But what I do know is, if I have to spend another winter up here, I'm going to kill myself. So, I'm wondering if it may be a good idea to head South shortly after launching. And then if it really does make the East coast, make a run for it. Mexico perhaps?
