Re: Laura Dekker's Circumnavigation

Fun idea of Canada Postal services. No, that sort of things are impossible here.
A very special occasion or the queen, that' s the option open to the public in NL. And the funeral stamp - a neutral sober one.

Re: Laura Dekker's Circumnavigation

Laura just got back to Bonaire and Guppy. She will be leaving shortly with a friend, heading to New Zealand. He doesn't know a thing about sailing, but if anyone could teach him, it would be Laura. He is however, a good musician and Laura has two of her guitars on board, so they'll be making music into the sunset.

So far so good. New Zealand will be her new home. Why I am not surprised?

hope the food has improved in kiwi land. back in 83, it was bland to say the least. made british food taste great by comparison, and that is a rare event. they were still working out the bugs in making pizza.

Nothing beats a kiwi hamburger with egg and beet and a side of yam fries

figuratively, thank goodness. ever tried slow cooked pizza? or cheese under the sauce? or a pie that has risen like bread dough? we finally brought in a pizza hut franchise to light the way. every try to justify before a socialistic government forum the need for a foreign pizza business to open in their country? long process.

No to cheese under the sauce and bread dough crust & definitely not to slow cooked! Can't even imagine! Give them a large slice of New York cheese pizza & I bet they convert immediately!! Yum!!

The best pizza in the world is around Nice to Genoa. Thin thin home made bases , best ingredients on the planet.

Sorry folk it's the truth.

I would have to agree with you about the food some 30 years ago but spent 4 months in Kiwiland last year and the range and quality of the food is fantastic. Much of it Asian or with an Asian influence but the traditional Kiwi meal can now only be found in homes. As an expat Kiwi having lived outside the country for 40 years I was truly impressed. Auckland is now a truly cosmopolitan city.

Helps to have ovens made in the 16th century. Trieste also has the best pizzas.

Re: Laura Dekker's Circumnavigation

Laura & Bruno arrived San Blas Islands last Saturday, finally a picture of Bruno. I think the ladies would call him "tall, dark and handsome", I call him lucky.
