Sometimes the answers are obvious - after you have them

BTW I beleive that she uses technology that was available in the early 70's (even if some was part of secret Govt programmes ) and could have been launched back then......if that had happened, by now we would be running passengers to the Moon............

Space doesnt have a terminal velocity. Orbiting objects are usually going about 10000-20000 miles per hour during entry. Its the silly air that causes terminal velocity that burns things up. 20000mph rope burn.

Virgin's idea is great and all, but only works because they have close to 0 velocity during the free fall and they only just leave the atmosphere. Soon as the rockets burn up and after few mins of 0g, they fall right back in to the area where there is air to slow them down at a reasonable speed.

Re: Russian Space Debris Found in Tobago Cays ?

Well!!! Guess I am a bit of an idiot because I was anchored there December 8th and 9th and while I was cleaning the bottom two of my crewmembers came back after a swim to the beach telling me it looked like a space craft had crashed on the island. I laughed and shook my head thinking maybe they smoked too much ganja!!
Wonder if I am radioactive?

caradow,

Wait 'til dark and look in the mirror. If you glow, take two aspirins and call me in the morning.

Say, if you happen to get back over to the beach to check it out, we'd all like to know what the flamingos on the outside of the debris signify. Hard to believe the Ruskies would paint flamingos on a spacecraft!

Can we meet? I've got pictures of that alleged "moon landing" that are worth a fortune and I'll cut you in for just half of what I paid for 'em. Think of the $$$ we'll make!
