U.S. Salboat Show

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this but..

My wife and I will be attending the US Sailboat show in Annapolis this October. It will be our first time there and I am looking for reasonable (ok affordable, ok cheep) hotel recommendations either within walking distance of the show or close to public transportation.

Forget about cheap hotels within walking distance. They don't exist and if they did, they'd already be sold out. There are a few lower-priced hotels on the outskirts of town on Riva Rd. and Old Bottom Rd. (Best Western, Holiday Inn Express and Village Inn) that are only a block or two from a city bus stop and 15-20 minutes from downtown.

Also, many residents in Annapolis rent out their homes (and boats) during the show. Check Craigslist. I live three blocks from the show and plan on staying on our boat at that time.

If you play to have a rental car, find a place out of town as dennisjay suggests then drive to Eastport and park on the street. From there its an easy walk across Spa Creek Bridge to the show.
