Well we averaged 7.5 knots on light winds from SD to Ensenada on the Solitary Bird. She appears to be doing about that pace yes?

Re: Zeehag on the Move

Dude. You're not going to suck me into this. I have my many years of experience sailing...you have...errr....ummm.....never mind.

Anyway, I think she is on sail now. Check out her track around 8pm. she got a puffed for a bit...think she caught that wind I was taking about and went off engine...now she's floating beggin' for more. Lets watch where the consistency leads. Kind of fun wondering what she is thinking about.

Taking bets on Turtle Bay stop for gas...?

Actually, im a bit concerned. Her last spot was at around 815pm...its now 845pm. she was pinging every 10 minutes before. i wonder if she is dead in the water.

The spot needs to be reactivated every 24 hours. She's likely forgotten since the spot was originally activated around 8:30.

Salty I don't know why you imply I'm trying to suck you into anything. I was just trying to have a conversation about her status. Why do you have such a hang up dude? Lighten up.

Re: Zeehag on the Move

I guess we won't be seeing any more pings from her. She won't remember. Very strange needing to reactivate at all in a product. What would happen if you are disabled?

No more responded from me on that other discussion.

Maybe in the morning she'll think of it.

Re: Zeehag on the Move

Well let's at least thank David aka meburma for giving her the spot device. It was fun. Too bad no one can call to remind her. I'm sure she's close to shore but prolly no cell phone on or coverage

I don't know if she showed Juan how to use it. Maybe she's off watch right now? Hope she turns it on. I really want to know she's doing all right.

He is right. We had spot on the boat during the Harvest Moon Regatta. My wife was tracking us, and trying to figure out when we would finish. Our spot stopped about three hours from the finish, because we didn't push some button. I had to call her from the marina, because she didn't know where we were.

It was the least I could do for Zee. She really wanted her Mom to be able to keep tabs on her.
