Not tired at all. About 35 here today and just got back from mountain biking in the snow with my wife and dog. We embrace winter and tune out the whiners!

Re: Anyone Else Tired of Winter?

In some parts of the world you know it going to be cold on some days and colder on other days. Here is north Texas it feels like Mother Nature toys with us humans for the fun of it.
Last Sunday-72 Sunny. Late in the day a cold front came in.
...then Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday highs in the mid 30's with overnight lows in the teens and low 20's.
...and Thursday warmed to the high 50's, Friday warmed even more to 73.
...Today is Saturday and it started out at sunrise about 50 degrees, but temp has been falling throughout the day. Tomorrows Superbowl Sunday forecast for the Metroplex is rain turning to sleet by mid day and later turning to snow.
I don't care who you are...that ain't funny!

Miami got lucky this time. Try driving a little bit north.

Re: Anyone Else Tired of Winter?

Yes! I am totally tired of shoveling and blowing. It has been below freezing here non-stop for way longer than usual. We have had more below zero F days than in the last 10 years combined. We have had lots of snow and it is all still here. My brother in Marquette has 10 feet on the ground and places west have much more. The Great Lakes have returned to historic norms on ice cover. Superior 70%, Michigan 35%, Erie 100%, Huron 30%. We are told we will have a late spring and cold water all summer. Last year we had snow in June and couldn't launch until June 20. It is snowing now. I have shoveled 3 times today, once last night. 5 to 9 inches forecast.

Here are some recent photos; my yard, Muskegon light - 70 feet above water. Ice on the pedestal is 5 to 15 feet thick.

Our books have gotten 5 star reviews on Amazon. Several readers have written "I never thought I would go on a circumnavigation, but when I read these books, I was right there in the cockpit with Vinni and Carsten"

You are mistaken. Surely you meant Hell or Houghton Michigan or perhaps Marquette?

You bought a boat? In the winter? You're like the guy that washed his truck...making it rain.

The cold is your fault.

Actually, congratulations.

Re: Anyone Else Tired of Winter?

I am really appreciating the winter pictures. Although I am very happy to be in Florida and enjoying the great weather. I do miss Winter a little (maybe a month of it).
