On The Rocks

Just wondering if anyone knows the story behind this boat... it has the name Zephyr and I took this photo from the wharf at Darwin NT Australia in November last year.

We had 100km hour winds from a tropical low that was named a cyclone soon after this - I think it was equivalent to a Cat 1 in the harbour at this time but there is some requirement for the winds to be that strong right around (360 deg) the centre of the low before it is named a cyclone.

Another skipper came to the wharf in the middle of all this in this tiny tender - I thought he was crazy. He was concerned if there was anyone in the craft - and he came up on the wharf and got me to ring the port authority to get this boat saved (it was still drifting at this stage - dragging its anchor).

The port authority didn't do anything - they probably had enough concerns at that time in the harbour - so it sat here for weeks after this.
