Back to the OP's problem with pressured water supply.
I have had the same problem a few times with hose failures and hot water tank problems and low tank levels in a seaway.
I am about to put a timer on the pump so that if it runs for more than a few minutes, it will shut the pump off. To get it going again the timer needs to be reset.
