Re: A pocket cruiser for the ocean?

I agree and like the new quiet, fuel efficient outboard motors better than any other power option.

And a draft of just 16" is great.

Re: A pocket cruiser for the ocean?

The addition of a simple Flybridge is a great option, in the AICW the view is better. Please let us see the boat when it is built. Thanks Cliff & Donna Meima cliff.meima@gmail.com

Re: A pocket cruiser for the ocean?

In Mexico they would use a 30 ish foot panga with 3 275 hp outboards. If you station refueling boats along the way you can go out 150 miles or so and make the run from the western Baja coast to the Channel Islands of Alto California in 12 to 20 hours. Of course the USCG saws up all pangas they locate in US waters so you have to travel to Mexico to get one. Another nice feature I have seen in Frailes BCS , is that you can run them up the beach 50 or 60 feet if you can tilt up the motors fast enough going 40 kts as you hit the beach. I know, 825 hp seems like a lot on a narrow 30 boat. But you see them everyday in Mexico always going full bore if they are moving.
