re: Anyone Crossing Over From Florida to the Abacos

We just arrived in Stuart this afternoon from West End. Most boats leave from Lake Worth. Chuck

A few questions:
What do you mean by soon? (I am planning to cross from Lake Worth Inlet June 6 or 7.)
What is your cruising speed? (I have a 10-14Kt PDQ 34 trawlercat.)
What type of weather are you willing to cross in? (My crew and I like relatively calm conditions and will wait for a window.)

We will be on one of two boats crossing from Stuart around the 3rd or 4th of June. Both Ocean Yachts,52 and 42 ft. Not sure where we will check in yet, but our eventual destination is the Abacos.

We plan on departing Lake Worth Inlet Sat May 25th bound for Old Bahama Bay to clear in, spend the night and then work our way towards Abaco. We're a 42 foot trawler and cruise between 8 and 9 knots.
