Are stylish super yacht interiors annoying?

Hi
I am currently writing a paper on working conditions on superyachts in terms of stylish interiors. Meaning are the interiors just stylish but not practical? Does anyone have any insights or interesting stories to tell regarding the subject? Any insights would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
Amg

I'm a cruiser, we don't get invited onto megayachts. We be stylin' with ultrasuede.

They are like super luxury homes... require enormous maintenance and crews to do it. The aesthetic has little appeal to me from a nautical perspective... but some as abstract design is OK if you like that sort of *look*. A Louis XIV interior would look pretty dumb as well.. wouldn't it? Sleek modern is meant to *nautical*... as yachts rarely have necessary trim which arose to conceal pour joinery. Joinery in yachts is usually structural and so cover up moldings are not usually required and look out of place... crown moldings anyone?
