There is a disadvantage to all of these fast updating things - when on a longer passage, the ETA constantly flips all over the place and can show 12-24hr spreads of arrival time when the boat is sailing steadily along. It can cause palsy looking at it. I haven't figured out how to damp just that function yet without damping everything else.

Our old 0.5Hz compass, knotmeter and GPS always showed a nice, steady ETA. Wasn't always very accurate, but it was steady...
