Hello, What would be the correct forum to discuss boating to Bimini from FL via powerboat?

No questions. Just looking for fun people who may want to go over either on my boat or their boat. Probably will start going over April May.

The big problem I always have is where to put the trailer after I launch. I would be happy to pay a reasonable rate to park my truck and trailer either at somebody’s house or at the boat ramp.

what city would you be leaving from?
in my area of miami (also the closest point), you can just leave your trailer at the marina. i pay for a year parking pass so its no issue for me. never had an issue with security at the marina as well.

Which marina are you referring? The only one that I know that I can leave my trailer at his Harbortowne marina. I would prefer to leave out of Miami because it’s the closest run, but I also have 35 foot long trailer so I need a little bit of room to get around. Harbor town is tight enough. Also, who can I reach out to about going across with the flotilla? Again, I don’t do Facebook or social media.

Try the hull truth. It is a forum like this, but there are alot of trailer boaters from Florida. Many of them do this exact trip many times a year. There are alot of threads about it already. Most start going in the spring when the fishing starts to pick up.

I use Crandon park marina or Matheson hammock marina. there is plenty of room to park for 35ft trailers. mine is a 30ft trailer and i get around no problem, and lots of guys are running much larger trailers than i have.

only issue is that for nice days on the weekend, the parking might fill up by 8 or 9am. so get there early.
