Chaparral - New Boat Pricing Policy ?

After attending a local boat show in Charleston (SC), I became interested in the Chaparral Suncoast Deck Series. Nice boat, with 300 Yami OB and seating for 10+. Sea trialed the 25 footer recently and was ready to make an offer. Response from dealer was price is non-negotiable for Chaparrals. Naturally I went on line, built the boat with the features I wanted, and the stated 'Real Deal' price was consistent on paper up and down the coast. Question is, has anyone heard of this no-dickering price policy? Sounds like the old approach now defunct Saturn cars used in the 90's. Feedback welcome.

Try 'Checkdealercost.com/boats.

This will show they have several thousand dollars wiggle room. If your local dealer will not match other dealers in the same region you need to walk away. If the dealer who does not have your money is being difficult just think how they will be once you buy...they will continue to be difficult.

Now at a boat show the dealer may already have the boat discounted so that price might not be negotiable.
