Crewed Charter in the Caribbean

My wife and I are having a discussion about where to take a vacation in 4 weeks. I've got 9 days.

She suggested that we go island hopping on a fully crewed yacht charter. I don't have any certifications, and this will be her first introduction to sailing in any form. Anything is possible, but I'm not sure even where we should go at this point. Right now we're thinking some place in the Caribbean. This needs to be basicly perfect.

I was origionaly thinking about trying for a trawler type vessel, but we're open for almost anything at this point.

Does anyone have a suggestions?

Thanks.

Re: Crewed charter in the Carabean.

The Caribbean in a month isn't the best place for a cruise, unless you aren't bothered by the threat of a possible hurricane. Perhaps the Med might be a better option.

Honestly, it doesn't bother me that much. I live on the coast of Texas, so hurricanes are a simple fact of life.

On the other hand, they do happen in the caribean more often. Then again, I'm open to suggestion in the med.

Re: Crewed Charter in the Caribbean

you may want to try s/v ZEEVONK, Dutch ppl, chartering on their cat ...
at the moment they are in Admiralty Bay - Bequia, on their way South, eventually/soon to be in Grenada ...
would be a very nice island-hopping trip especially if you only have 9 days ...
did it myself 2 weeks ago, on another boat, called Giggles ...
you don't necessarily have to be naturists, hence the non-nude trips they offer ...
their website is:

Sailing in Paradise

good luck in finding a destination for your vacation ...

Re: Crewed Charter in the Caribbean

p.s.:
July 10 seems a nice trip ...
so does July 24 (a +/- 2 days/nights trip to Blanquilla), Los Roques are beautiful, so are Las Aves) ...
just ask your boss a FEW extra days off, tell him I sent you hahahaha ...
oh, and check out their guest book ...
