Fishermen or Fisherpersons

Just wondering how many fisherman inhabit this site. I am keen to see what electronics people are using for GPS/fish finder combos.

Re: Fishermen or Fisherpersons

Ours is old, by now. Furuno suite. GPS/plotter is NAVnet 3D (12" MFD and GP-330), fishfinder is FCV-585.

Could have gotten a blackbox fishfinder, for display on the MFD, but I preferred having it separate.

Doesn't take much, in our environment.

Re: Fishermen or Fisherpersons

I always run a line while offshore. No electronics or any type of sophistocated gear. Don't even remember what the name of my gear is - only that it's ocean-strength/gauge. I've caught some lovely mahi-mahi. And tuna.

But if I *ever* ventured to categorize myself as a fisherman, my brother would never stop laughing.
