Getting A PPCDL In Singapore

Managed to get my PPCDL (Powered Pleasure Craft Driving Licence) in Singapore last year. Still heard of many having problems getting their PPCDL first time. Some have tried 3-5 attempts without success.

Wrote some notes on a wordpress site to aid those who are getting their PPCDL. Hope it helps.

Congrats James! Hope you find the site useful. So far it has managed to help some readers get their PPCDL.

So are you into sailing?

Yes, very much so...

Although... my boat is more of a caravan at the moment... On the hard up at Changi Sailing Club...waiting for the hull to be re-glassed below the waterline...

It's either my brothers RS800, or club dinghy's till then

Re: Getting A PPCDL In Singapore

hey maverick55, thanks for your writeup on the PPCDL. It is really good I would say. I had taken it years back but failed on berthing due to the current/wave, and maybe not enough practice though I taken refresher before the test.
I'm going to take it again.
Can I get some advice? How did you manage on handling of berth with just the practical lesson and 2 refreshers? Is it enough with 2 refreshers? or is down to the person?

So since I taken the course before, do I have to take the course again or I can just go for refresher? Could not find any info on this. Does the theory and practical test require a valid course taken within a specific period of time?

Thanks,
