ICW Florida parking

Hello,
I’m boating the icw in April 2021 for two weeks and launching from Jacksonville. Does anyone know how to find secure parking area for my truck and trailer near an area I can launch from to the ICW.
Thanks

Best thing to do for safety of your truck and trailer is put it in one of those large vehicle storage places. Like an RV storage place. They have lots of them around Jacksonville.

Launch boat, Drive to nearby storage, leave vehicle and trailer, take Uber back to boat and head out.

Having done motorcycle trips where I leave a truck and trailer for 4-5 weeks at a time, I can also recomend the use of storage places like Extra Space or the other commercial places.

One other is Long term Airport parking places.

I am looking to do the same thing. And I was just researching the JAX area no less. If I come up with any particulars will post it here. Plan is to launch Mayport public boat ramp, store truck and trailer nearby for a week. Pick boat up then head back home.

This is a nice, secure storage facility I’ve used. The people running it are great with customer service:

Taylor Parkway Storage LLC.
909 Leonard C Taylor Pkwy, Green Cove Springs, FL 32043

All of them!

The hotel and tourism industry has been decimated by Covid. They’re all the cheapest they’ve ever been.

Re: ICW Florida parking

You can launch from County ramp at north end of Fernandina Beach, then pay for a month storage at Tiger Point marina or Olde Town marina, both just a short walk south of the ramp.

Or Clapboard Creek Fish Camp in Jax where you can launch and park at the same spot.

Or use Lighthouse Park ramp in St Augustine and park at nearby Anastasia Storage

But there are miles and miles of No Wake zones south of Jax all the way to Daytona. If you like to run fast, better trailer further south!
