I am always on the lookout for my "next" boat. In this case I believe I have found one worthy of additional research. Is any one familiar with a Krogen- designed trawler from the late 1960's? This is not to be confused with Kadey-Krogens which didn't start manufacturing until the late 1970s.... Haven't had any luck with the inter-web as they call it on my favorite tv show. Was hoping there might be an old salt around these parts who may have some intel to share. Thanks!

Re: Krogen... Anyone familiar with vintage Trawler boats?

Might try Trawler Forum, sister site. Passagemaker magazine is also a good sourse.

Not sure what you mean Krogaen design tralwers. Trawler loking boats like; Defever, Grand Banks, Willard, Roughwater, CHB, etc.

Yes, I've been researching the Trawler forum also.
My thoughts are that this must be a Jim Krogen design as a custom build.

If you're referring to that Kroger yacht for sale in Kemah. That boat is in serious need of restoration. Somebody really let it go downhill unfortunately. On the interweb thing.... I guess you must be a fan of gas monkey garage

Yeah, that would be the one. Sad to hear of its condition. (And yes, a fan of the Gas Monkey....)
