Looking to buy a Center Consol Power Boat

Hi there! I am new and this is my 1st message. I am looking for help as to where to find a 20' to 24' Center Console power boat in Michigan or Ontario or further... to buy for $20,000 or less US dollars that has a 4 stroke outboard. Have been living on the computer for 3 days searching. Any help is totally appreciated. Thanks and have a great day today!

Have you tried boat trader? Thousands for sale in Florida must be similar in Michigan.

There are 1000's of these type of boats where I was on the west coast of Florida. Check boat dealers around Crystal River just to get an idea. In the next month or two you should see more boats for sale in Michigan.

Pro-line, Triton, Boston Whaler are just a few manufacturers that I actually looked at. There are many more manufacturers.

I believe a CC is sort of a Florida boat, you see them of course in colder waters, but not nearly as often, I assume it's because when the cold breeze comes off of the cold water, there is nowhere to go to get out of it.

Your right but up here on Lake Huron it can be pretty sweet here in the summertime. Had a center console before I had my sailboat so now that the sailboat is sold we would like to go back. If we do not find one up here then maybe a trip to Florida in the fall is in the charts for us. Thanks for your reply!

Price wise I'd look Panhandle of Fl, Alabama, that area, and look to buy around Jan -Feb time frame, that is when people are ready to sell, they have made the last several payments on a boat that they haven't used for months, and they want four wheelers or something else now anyway and they have Christmas bills too.

sea swirl or trophy both are center consoles with a cutty cabin. the transoms generally rot out so budget for replacement of the ply wood core and do it from the inside

Houston (kemah) Tx has a lot of that type of boat-- suggest you try the coast of La if you are willing to travel-- oil economy is in the toilet right now and a lot of people there are getting rid of the toys because they have to.

Bazillions of CCs here in the Chesapeake. Search PropTalk and Salty Dog (etc.) magazines -- and Craigslist from Baltimore, Annapolis, etc. -- for classifieds.


And check The Hull Truth, if you haven't already. Lots of fish guys with CCs there...
