New to the Forum

Just wanted to say Helo. New to the forum have read a lot of the threads and very much like the information here on the board. One day would love to do half the crusing that the others have done. But for now I am in the restoration of a Crownline 250cr cruiser for my family will be crusing the Ohio river and also the great lakes here next spring. This is a new venture for us. Started out small with the 250 to see if the little ones ( 4 and 3 ) take to the water as my better half did. My self have spent 6 years out Loved every second . Hope to get insight and make some friends along the way

Re: New to the Forum

Welcome, to you. I am only 44 years old and have bad back and legs ( to many years working in coal mines) I do understand about the limits our body's put on us. I have 4 fused vert in back ( do not bend that well any more, and my right knee needes to be replaced, left doc say's 1 more surgury and it will be shot too! But I still want to do the crusing part for the family and myself. I have had 4 boats before the 250 mainly ski and tube boats. I could not but the wife loved it. All I can say is try and you will not be let down. " We never know our limitations until we try".
Best wishes to you and yours.

Welcome to CF I found it a few months ago great people with very diverse experience. I'am on the Upper Mississippi at the 283 mm, hope to cruise up the Ohio someday.
